Jesera in Slovenian means “little lake” and it’s the name of the major vineyard from where grapes are picked. This site is at the bottom of a cool valley; the water that flows from the hills guarantees a perfect support to the vines. Depending on the vintage the grapes are cold macerated for 12 to 24 hours which gives the wine wonderful texture and bolsters the aromatics. Additionally, Pinto Grigio Jesera will have a slight rose or copper hue which it picks up from the skins during the cold maceration. The wine is finished in stainless steel so it retains all it's natural acidity, the play of the rich fruit, white peach aromatics and firm natural acidity results in one fantastic expression of Pinot Grigio.
