2.2 Ha holdings in Garretti vineyard, 55 year old vines, Grinzane Cavour commune. Very steep hillside vineyard, Garretti is the name of the entire hillside that has south and southwest exposure. Soils are similar to Castiglione Falletto, a mix of Tortonian and Helvetian formations. The higher up the slope, the soils become more poor, exposing the subsoil limestone. Fermented on the skins for ten days, aged 24 months in low toast Francios Freres barrels. Production: 7,200 bottles.
