Vespolina 2007

2.3 Ha of vineyards planted in mineral-infused clay and sand above the Sesia river. Iron and granite make up a large part of the soils. Vineyards age from 25 to 45 years old, their clone of Vespolina is a local selection that is low in production with high phenolic maturation. Vespolina is a variant of Nebbiolo that is less tannic, more spicy and floral. Aged 18 months in 5,000 liter Slavonian oak cask. Production: 9,000 bottles.
