2.5 Ha holdings in Bricco Fiasco vineyards with 55 year-old vines in Castiglione Falletto. Azelia’s holdings are located in the upper part of the hill considered to be one of the commune’s greatest sites. South and southwest exposure, soils are Tortonian formation, more similar to La Morra than Serralunga, but the vineyard produces firmer wines than La Morra. Soils contain blue-tinted clay, limestone, and sand. Wine is fermented on the skins for 18 to 20 days, aged 24 months in 225 liter barrique and large cask. Production: 10,200 bottles.
