7.8 Ha holdings in Campe vineyard, 55 year old vines, Grinzane Cavour commune. The top of the Garretti hill, the most exposed portion of the vineyard with the poorest soils, harvest is delayed seven to ten days later than the rest of Garretti. Soils are clay, limestone, sand, and yellow sandstone. Giorgio is strict with the viticulture in Campe, each vine yields approximately 0.8 to 1.0 Kg of fruit per vine. Very steep and well drained vineyard, roots are forced to go deep into the marl to the limestone subsoils. Production: 5,000 bottles.
