WINE PROFILE

LENOTTI
Amarone della Valpolicella 2010

The Amarone is produced in the classic area of Valpolicella in the hills of the villages of Negrar, Valgatara, and Fumane. The grapes are produced in extremely limited quantities and only in the best years from the best red grapes of Valpolicella (70% Corvina, 25% Rondinella, and 5% Molinara), which dry out in wooden cases until late winter and traditionally vinified January – February.

This wine is dry, warm, full-bodied and intense. Its color is a dark, brick, ruby-red with an ethereal bouquet that illicits scents of the selected wooden barrels. Its flavor is intense and velvety, emphasized by the very long ageing period in wood butts.
