Ventoso is delicious and a TREMENDOUS value. Made from Sangiovese and Canaiolo, fermented in cement vats and aged for nine months before bottling. A geological fault runs thru the Piazzano estate and exposes several soil types, each are vinified separately and blended before bottling. For this base Sangiovese this is a significant quality measure that yields a great wine. It offers complex aromas and great concentration.
