Fortulla is a blend of 50 Cabernet Sauvignon and 50 Cabernet Franc. Fermented in stainless steel and aged 6 months in second pass tonneux. Grown on the Mediterranean coast the vineyards are exposed to constant sea winds, keeping heat accumulation down and natural acidity high - giving balance to the ripe plum and spiced cassis. The Cabernet Franc is fully ripe and offers flavors of tobacco and cedar, no green character. A fantastic wine with the best traits of Tuscan grown Cabernet without being over ripe, high in alcohol or over oaked. Produced from young vines we look forward to this wine evolving and getting even better as the vineyards continue to age.
