The Barbaresco Riserva 2008 presents an intense, deep ruby colour; the nose as usually is first dominated by notes of menthol, eucalyptus, licorice and sweet red fruits. With the aging, or with some air in the glass, the bouquet opens up with notes of flowers, sweet spicies and “goudron” On the palate it’s elegant but with a good persistence as well, balanced by its richness, with “nuances” of minerals on the finish. The tannins are velvety and refined.
