The 2013 Briccoserra, equal parts Nebbiolo and Barbera, is soft, plump and juicy, with lovely up-front richness and impeccable balance. Delicious and harmonious, the 2013 will drink well with minimal cellaring. I can’t help wondering if this is the best use for Cigliuti's old vine Nebbiolo and Barbera. Still, the wine itself is beyond reproach. The 2013 spent 18 months in neutral French oak.
