Sorpasso is a red wine made from carefully selected grapes from the most favored parcels of our vineyard. When the grapes reach optimal maturity, they are picked by hand and subjected to fermentation and slow maceration to extract the more noble tannins and the varietal aromas. After the racking off the wine is aged in small French oak barrels for about 14/16 months (50% new, 35% second use, 15% third use). This is followed by bottle aging for at least 12 months to enhance its quality and its structure.
