The 2012 Langhe Nebbiolo emerges from young vines in Cavallotto's Bricco Boschis and Vignolo properties. Rich and ample on the palate, the 2012 offers gorgeous radiance in the open, generous style of the year. Red cherry, plum, spice and new leather add nuance on the juicy finish. This fruit gets a Barolo-like treatment in the cellar, with 22 days on the skins, followed by 18 months in cask. Cavallotto uses some of their younger and smaller casks here to give the Nebbiolo good early approachability.
2.9 Ha from Bricco Boschis cru and San Giuseppe vineyards. South, southeast, and southwest exposure. Vines pruned in the classic Gujot system. 100 % Nebbiolo, aged in traditional oak casks for 15-24 months. Refining in the bottle for six months.
