Contratto Bitter is a Torino style Italian liqueur- a distilled, spirit-based beverage that is flavored with aromatic herbs, flowers, and roots such as gentian root. The bitter note is balanced with the addition of sugar (200 grams per liter).The ABV is 22%. The combination of herbs is known to offer therapeutic qualities and assist in stimulating the appetite. The base spirit for Aperitif is brandy distilled from Barbera grapes.The are over 40 botanicals used in Contratto Bitter's proprietary blend, including: aloe, wormwood, bitter and sweet orange peel, cloves, cardamom, gentian, hibiscus, juniper, rhubarb, sage, nettles, and ginger.
