Lovely sappy sangiovese nose of pomegranate and sour cherry with a citrus twist. Fresh and lively on the palate, with ripe but lithe red fruit flavors and a moderately long, peppery finish. Though it may seem a little light at first, this has sneaky concentration and very fine balance. Maceration on the skins in steel vats with temperature control for 10-15 days, ageing in oak casks (35 hectolitres) and French oak tonneaux (3.5 and 5 hl.) for 18 months, cellaring in the bottle for 6 months
