Greenish gold. Poached pear, peach liqueur, honey and ginger on the intensely perfumed nose. Lush, gently sweet pit fruit and melon flavors are complemented by succulent herbs and orange pith, which add good back-end cut. Suavely melds sweetness and vivacity, finishing with excellent clarity and a clinging note of candied orange zest. Seventeen pounds of grapes were reportedly necessary to make 375 milliliters of this wine.
Greenish gold. Exotic baking spice and floral qualities enhance exotic lichee, jackfruit and apricot aromas. Plump pit fruit marmalade and melon flavors are given energy by cinnamon, mace and tangy minerals, which carry through a seemingly endless finish. The interplay of ripe, even exotic fruit and spice here is amazing.
