The Bettarini family makes a wonderful line of Tuscan wines, olive oil
and honey at their farm located outside the village of Empoli, about
15 Km west of Florence. Orlando and his sister Ilaria now operate the
estate that was started by their great uncle Othello in the late 1940’s.
Located in a valley formed by the Camerata River the estate sits on a
beautiful landscape that has classic Tuscan vistas. The wines are very
well made with clean and pure flavors. The reds are crafted exclusively
from old vine Sangiovese, Cannaiolo, Colorino and other traditional
Tuscan varieties.
