2.4 Ha holdings in Margheria vineyard with 35 year-old vines in Serralunga d’Alba. This is one of Serralunga’s most famed vineyards, located in the steep bowl thats plunges right off the village. Azelia’s parcel faces primarily due south with some southwesterly exposure. The soil is poor with a very thin layer of topsoil, a high percentage of sand, marl and chalk deposited by ancient seas. It’s fermented on the skins for 20 days and aged in large cask for 24 months. Production: 10,000 bottles.
