Azelia Barolo is produced from 2.5 Ha of vineyards in both Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga d'Alba. The Nebbiolo is fermented for 15 days on the skins and spends 24 months in 'botti grande' large wood cask. Azelia's base Barolo is not produced from the young vines of the estate, these Nebbiolo vines are 25 to 40 years old. Historically an incredible Barolo value, receives tremendous accolades from the wine press. Can age for 12 to 15 years. 900 to 1,100 cases produced a year depending on the vintage.
