95 POINTS - ANTONIO GALLONI      [Read More]

1.8 Ha holdings in San Rocco vineyard with 45 year-old vines in Serralunga d’Alba. San Rocco is a small vineyard, even by Barolo standards, it’s divided by the road that runs up the Serralunga ridge from Alba. It has both southwest and southeast exposure. Ripening is slowed by the very poor, high Ph soils of clay, high amounts of limestone and sandstone. Wines are firm with strong tannins. Fermented on the skins for 18 to 20 days, aged 24 months in barrique and large cask. Production: 7,000 bottles.
